My beloved husband,

I love You & I miss you so much! I did not know that when you walked out of the house that afternoon you would never be coming home to me again... I remember running out the door after you and asking when you would be back and you smiled that smile that melts my heart and said I'll be right back .. I Love You!! I wish you would of never left I wish so many things but nothing is going to change what happened to you baby... Nothing's going to bring you back to me and our families!!! I still reach for you in the morning ( when I can sleep) & I don't think that will ever change. 14 wonderful years with you and your craziness!!! I was BLESSED to have YOU  in my life!!!

Forever & Always your loving wife,

Melissa Whatley

The Dash Poem

I read of a man who stood to speak

At the funeral of a friend

He referred to the dates on his tombstone

From the beginning to the end

He noted that first came the date of his birth

And spoke the following date with tears,

But he said what mattered most of all

Was the dash between those years

For that dash represents all the time

That he spent alive on earth.

And now only those who loved him

Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own;

The cars, the house, the cash,

What matters is how we live and love

And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard.

Are there things you’d like to change?

For you never know how much time is left,

That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough

To consider what’s true and real

And always try to understand

The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger,

And show appreciation more

And love the people in our lives

Like we’ve never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect,

And more often wear a smile

Remembering that this special dash

Might only last a little while.

So, when your eulogy is being read

With your life’s actions to rehash

Would you be proud of the things they say

About how you spent your dash?

- by Linda Ellis

I am VERY PROUD of how Antwain spent his dash!

for the 14 yrs we where together he was a man that would do anything for you within his power. He helped friends, family, neighbors & even strangers!

He loved all his niece's and nephew's like they where his own.

His DASH was a great one that came to a end to soon! I am grateful that out of the 29 yrs he was on this earth 14 of them where spent with me and my family!!!

He will be forever missed !!
